I note that in our family, this beet salad is very popular throughout the year. But, according to tradition, every year on the eve of Easter, I will cook the beets with horseradish. As well as eggs, butter, cheese, ham and sausage salad are always present on our Easter table. This dish can have different flavors, but it did not prepare, it always turns out delicious and very useful. The main condition of success - sweet, dark red beets, without laps and fibers. If root does not meet the above requirements, then do not even try to cook, wasted time and effort. Personally, I prefer sharp, sweet and sour beets, salt no spice. And my mother in law makes the salad more tender, but add some salt, and also turns out delicious.
