Meatballs with rice and gravy - how to cook meatballs with gravy and vegetables, with a step by step recipe photos
This simple recipe I borrowed in Italian cuisine. As promised the chef, cook it turned out to be quite easy, but the result really pleased me. Slightly sharp, succulent meatballs with rice, perfectly combined with a sweet tomato sauce and vegetables. Time to cook this dish took about an hour. - 500 grams of spaghetti;
- 1 bunch fresh parsley (leaves);
- 50 mL of refined olive oil.
For the meatballs:
- 1 kg of minced meat;
- 2 tbsp. rice spoons;
- 1 egg C-1;
- 1 onion;
- 1/4 tsp of ground spices (pepper, coriander, marjoram).;
- 1 h. Spoon of salt.
For the tomato sauce:
- 2 onions;
- 2 carrots;
- 1/3 pieces of chilli;
- 1/2 pieces of red bell pepper;
- 600 ml of sweet tomato sauce;
- 1-1, 5 hr. Of salt.
How to make meatballs with rice and gravy in the pan
We begin to prepare a dish with the fact that we pour in the pan oil, and pour warm up his half-rings of onion. When the onion has acquired a transparent and slightly golden color, add grated on a coarse grater carrots, cut into small cubes of bell pepper and chili pepper. Salt and stir. Vegetables give time to share their flavors. It takes about 7-10 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the minced meat with rice, finely chopped onions, spices and eggs. Forming dampened hands meatballs and put them on pritushennye vegetables.
Fill meatballs with vegetables sweet tomato sauce. Cover with a lid and simmer until tender (about an hour) over medium heat.
For 15 minutes until cooked meatballs, boil the spaghetti according to the instructions indicated on the package.
Then curl them and lay in the center of a serving dish. Put around the perimeter of finished meatballs, pour all the hot sauce and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
