2 cups (400 ml) chicken broth
2 cups (400 ml) coconut milk
1 cup (200 ml) coconut cream
1 small onion
1/2 pod of hot peppers

By the way: coconut cream - it is almost the same as coconut milk but contains less liquid and has a dense, pasty consistency. To get the coconut cream, you will need 1 coconut without shell and crushed. Liquid from it should connect with a sufficient amount of cream or milk, to give 1 liter. Shredded coconut place in a saucepan and pour 1 l water (coconut milk and cream). Slowly bring to the boil, stirring frequently. Cover and allow to cool at room temperature. Set on a large bowl sieve and cover it with two layers of cheesecloth. Pour the contents into the strainer saucepan. Then it is necessary to wipe the mixture through cheesecloth and squeeze liquid. Then the liquid is cooled in a refrigerator and allowed to settle. After some time the mixture becomes a two-phase, and a dense top layer remain coconut cream, which can then be used to prepare banana soup and beverages and desserts. How to prepare banana soup:
- Peel and grate the bananas, or grind with a blender. Connect chicken broth and bananas, passed through a fine sieve.
- Peel and finely chop the onion. Peppers cleaned of seeds and finely chop. Sauté the onion and pepper, until the onion is translucent.
- Combine all ingredients and heat, without boiling. Serve the soup hot with croutons of white bread. African banana-coconut soup is ready!
